How to Integrate Okta. 

Setting up the Okta integration and utilizing Okta to sign into AppWork.

1. Set Up Okta as an Identity Provider

  • Log into Okta: Go to your Okta dashboard as an admin.
    • Navigate to Applications > Applications.
    • Click Browse App Catalog.
    • Search for AppWork.
    • Click Create App Integration.
    • Next Sign on Options
    • Select SAML 2.0 as the sign-on method.
    • Default Relay State: /saml/login
    • Copy Meta Data URL

2. SAML Attribute Section:

  • The Following SAML attributes are supported:
    • Name - Value
    • UserName - user.login
    • Email - user.email.
    • FirstName - User.firstName
    • LastName - User.lastName
  • Supported Features:
    • *IdP-initiated SSO

 3. Add  to AppWork

  • Navigate to System Settings
    • Click OAuth Settings
  • Paste Okta Metadata URL and save.

4. Assign Users to the AppWork Application in Okta

  • Assign Users/Groups:
    • Go to the AppWork application in Okta.
    • Click on Assignments > Assign.
    • Select the users or groups who should have access to AppWork.
    • Ensure the users email / username matches the email in Okta. 

5. Sign Into AppWork from Okta

  • Click the AppWork Logo in Okta and Okta signs User in.
