Canceling Work Orders

There are three places in the admin portal where you can cancel work orders: 

  1. The "Unassigned" tab of the work order index page (single and bulk)
  2. The "Assigned" tab of the work order index page (single and bulk)
  3. Inside the Work Order popup (single)

Unassigned Tab: Single Work Order

  1. Go to the "Unassigned" tab
  2. Check the row with the work order you want to cancel.
  3. As soon as you select at least one row, three new buttons will appear in the top right corner of the table: "Assign to technician
  4. Tap on the "Cancel Orders" button.
  5. A new popup appears asking you to describe why you are canceling the work order.
  6. Enter your reason (for example duplicate work order, resident canceled request, etc.)
  7. Select the button "Yes, I'm Sure" to complete the cancelation

After canceling the order, AppWork moves it automatically to the "Canceled" tab. You can see the work order by going to the Canceled tab.

Then scroll down until you see the just canceled work order.

Assigned Tab: Multiple Work Orders

  1. Go to the "Assigned" tab
  2. In the case below, we're selecting all the work orders from the same unit (A1003).
  3. As soon as you select at least one row, the "Unassign orders" and "Cancel orders" buttons appear in the top right corner of the table.
  4. Select the "Cancel orders" button.
  5. A new popup will appear asking you to describe why you want to cancel the work orders.
  6. In this case, the resident requested to cancel all three work orders (suddenly everything was working!).
  7. The reason you enter here will appear on the timeline of all three work orders.
  8. Select the "I'm Sure" button to finish canceling the orders.
  9. If you go to the "Canceled" tab, you can now see the three work orders there.

Inside the Work Order Popup

  1. Under either the "Unassigned" tab or "Assigned" tab, find the work order you want to cancel.
  2. Tap on the work order row to open the work order popup.
  3. Inside the work order popup, tap on the "Cancel" link at the top of the popup.
  4. A new popup will appear and ask you to describe why you are canceling this work order.
  5. Enter your reason, and tap the "Yes, I'm Sure" button to complete the cancelation.
  6. The cancelation event will appear on the timeline.
  7. AppWork automatically moves the work order to the "Canceled" tab on the dashboard.
